ILLEGAL immigrants were treated to free massages and other relaxation therapies at an immigration detention centre.
But Immigration Minister Philip Ruddock has since put a stop to the practice.
Details of relaxation therapies, including massages, were revealed yesterday in the Federal Government's response to a joint standing committee report from September 2000 titled ``Not the Hilton - Immigration Detention Centres: Inspections Report".
The committee recommended the practice of providing massages to detainees on a regular basis be discontinued.
